Back to School Spending Will Hit $27.3B [INFOGRAPHIC]

The sun has set on another summer and pupils across the U.S. are gearing up for the start of the new school year. As the schools prepare to throw open their doors, parents are preparing to open their wallets. This time of year is expensive for parents with average back-to-school spending per household set to each $674. Nationwide, total back-to-school spending will hit $27.3 billion, according to the National Retail Federation.
