Over the past 16 years I've got to know a lot of custom, SaaS and open source Content Management Systems (CMS), everything from Vignette, Kentico, Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal.
About 10 years ago I got to know the CMS sector very well when I worked for a pioneering start-up CMS called Hot Banana (located in Barrie, Ontario). What made them interesting at the time was they added and integrated several marketing tools to their core CMS, such as Website Optimization, Salesfoce.com and Google Analytics integration, with email campaigns and workflow functionality, and a wide variety of additional content marketing tools.
Then I discovered HubSpot.
